SELF GUIDED RENTAL TOURS

temp-post-image

Although self-guided tours are not necessarily “new”, they are being used nearly exclusively now, especially with the pandemic, to view available rental homes. The self-guided tour system uses integrated electronic lockboxes along with safety features built into the system. When creating an account, renters are required to submit personal information about who they are, including uploading their ID, credit card, and supply a selfie in order to pass their verification process.

Once all system security checks have been verified, the renter is then able to schedule when they’d like to see the property. Once the renter arrives at the property, accessing the unit is pretty straightforward. They are sent a unique, one-time-only code to open the lockbox. All these steps are also logged and accessible by management. Once inside, renters can view the home at their own pace and while socially distancing.

This not only is a great solution for the current pandemic but also makes showing rentals a lot easier and convenient. Gone are the days of having to work around everyone’s busy schedules, the renter can simply go on a day and time that works best for them.

According to a survey by rentcafe 83% of renters prefer self-guided tours over traditional tours.
